Jessica founded Simple Wonders after a few years of wrestling with curriculum and realizing that her teaching mattered more than material. After much study and observation, she compiled ten principles of education and wanted to share it with other mothers. Jessica writes the Teach Ye Diligently series in hopes that mothers will be able to find joy and freedom by teaching in the Savior’s way.

Jessica was educated at home along with her five younger siblings. She attended BYU where she graduated in Human Development and Family Studies. She now teaches her three boys at home.

Havalah is a mom to 4 kids, 9 and under. Growing up, she was home schooled and loved it. However, after having kids, she felt her oldest need to start in public school. But, after he was in 1st grade, she felt the strong need for him to be home. The circumstances just didn’t feel right for him. So she pulled him out and now she home schools two of her kids and loves it, despite the challenge it can be.

Havalah writes about how to teach music and art, as well as creating the composer and artist study guides for this site. She also blogs at www.sisterwhat.com where she shares her creative projects and artistic talents.

Randi is an artist and homeschool mama who lives and loves with her husband and five children in the desert of Southern Utah. She enjoys creating heartfelt traditions with her children, reading children’s books, morning art projects and afternoon picnics – all with a side of chamomile tea.

Randi believes in protecting time, the power of mothers and standing up for what is right! And she believes that all things are possible through Christ.

Elisabeth graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in technical writing and currently works for an online high school as their communications manager. She lives in Las Vegas with her husband and toddler and enjoys editing posts for Simple Wonders. You can find her enjoying classical literature and reading up on intentional parenting.
Elisabeth has recently created a blog called Woman in Wrestle. Its focus is to provide a comforting (yet vulnerable) space where women can share stories of their personal wrestles to provide camaraderie and inspiration for others. If you have a story to share, let her know!

Cassie is a long-time lover of education and all things related to children and families. She has an Early Childhood Education degree and have observed and taught in many schools. At Utah State University, she was trained to be a Family Life Educator and has her Bachelor’s of Science in Family Life Studies.

She and her husband are raising their four young children – identical twin girls and two boys in Utah. For a long time, she thought she was against educating her children at home, but, it took one pivotal experience and she was prompted to open her heart to homeschooling. She has a firm testimony that God belongs in all our learning – and further, that all mothers have been endowed with divine gifts to train and teach their children in righteousness.

Cassie is the founder of teachinthehome.com where she creates developmentally appropriate, simple activity guides for Come, Follow Me each week.
